Now in Chicago with a new permanent showroom

9 July, 2025

Since June, Viccarbe has had its own dedicated space in the iconic building The Mart, in Chicago. A space conceived to inspire, spark relaxed conversations, and offer a refuge of Mediterranean warmth, all while majestic buildings from Merchandise Mart Plaza rise just beyond the expansive windows.

This new permanent showroom—the brand’s first in the United States and internationally—has been designed ad hoc to bring the essence of Viccarbe to Chicago: Mediterranean culture, timeless design, and a deep commitment to people’s well-being. A series of carefully composed settings invites visitors to explore different ways of living, featuring both established icons and the latest additions to the collection, signed by designers such as Piero Lissoni, Jaime Hayon, Patricia Urquiola, and Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba. Everything is thoughtfully arranged to welcome guests with a warm, understated elegance.

Here’s what you can currently find in the Viccarbe showroom in Chicago:

Noha to foster focus.

A wall-mounted desk sets up four individual workstations designed to enhance focus, comfort, and privacy. The space is furnished with the Noha and Noha Executive chairs, designed by Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba.

A curated showcase of chairs.

As an installation with double-height visual impact, eight iconic Viccarbe chairs are displayed in typological families. From top to bottom and left to right: the Copa and Aleta chairs by Jaime Hayon; in the adjacent space, the upholstered Maarten chair and the Ears chair; then, a second Copa chair with swivel pyramid base next to the Aleta chair with wooden legs; and finally, the Maarten chair and the Quadra chair by Mario Ferrarini.

Warmth for shared moments.

Natural light filters through the large window at the back of the showroom, illuminating a lounge area presided over by the Savina sofa by Victor Carrasco. Framed in the back-right corner of the space, visitors can also find pieces like the Funda Lounge chair by Stefan Diez, and side tables such as Cambio, Burin Mini and Giro by Pedro Paulo-Venzon. An inviting atmosphere for unhurried conversations.

Functionality on a grand scale.

The Aleta Executive chair by Jaime Hayon is paired with the Foro table, a special over-two-meter-long oak design by John Pawson. An expansive executive setup where aesthetics and ergonomics go hand in hand.

The elegance of timeless classics.

The green Alpi marble top of the Burin table, designed by Patricia Urquiola, immediately draws attention with its beauty, while seamlessly integrating into the space with discreet elegance. It is joined by the Season chair and the Perxa chair, both by Piero Lissoni—another expression of timeless design in Viccarbe’s collection.

Cubow, our latest release.

As expected, Viccarbe’s latest launch, Cubow by Meike Harde, made its debut at the brand’s Chicago showroom. A duo of leather lounge chairs paired with the Trino side table offers a subtle seventies flair, inviting visitors to sit and discover a new vision of contemporary comfort.
