Our story is based on people. Viccarbe is collaboration and building meaningful, enduring, and respectful relationships across different cultures. Our Mediterranean spirit follows us wherever we go and is part of our core values. Even though we are deeply committed to making Viccarbe an inclusive and diverse company, there is still so much to do. We are a flexible, welcoming, and supportive team with a high responsibility to be part of the change.
We believe our team’s varied experiences and perspectives are our best and most powerful resource and we strive every day to have a diverse and comprehensive work environment, where coworkers feel valued for their uniqueness, recognized for their distinct talents, and find a home in Viccarbe where they can be themselves.
We are reconsidering everything we do to ensure diversity, equality and inclusion is embedded across our brand. The follow initiatives help us to embed these values throughout every process of the business.
Diversity
Our team is comprised with people from different backgrounds, ages, and genders as we truly believe listening and learning from different points of views is key. Over 60% of our workforce is composed by women. When teams from different departments and fields work together, spectacular results are achieved bringing different perspectives and high levels of innovation, organization, and speed.
Equality
We bring equal and fair job opportunities at our workplace and we ensure everybody has the same opportunities to grow and make their most of their individuality.
We are committed to determine there is no inexcusable discrimination in our recruitment and team selection, performance and wage, and that promotion and retention is accomplished across all our internal processes.
Inclusion
Everyone is important at Viccarbe. We are an inclusive workplace and encourage our teams to speak out loud and share their voices. Our people are our most valued asset and therefore we always stimulate them to grow inside our company to be their best selves and fulfil their dreams.
Communication between coworkers is vital. We believe in a transparent company where everyone feels welcomed and important. To do so, a couple of years ago, we established a cross-functional team called EDT, made up from leaders of different areas in the company. We thrive to get everyone involved and included in the daily activities, to make them feel part of a whole. 75% of this team are women.
Collaboration
For us doing good is as important as performing well. We are committed to help and support local charities to help them raise awareness for their cause. We are partners of different associations, such as:
Mamás en Acción: This charity is made up of a community of people who attends and takes care of hospitalized children who do not have parents or cannot live with them. The group accompanies, nurtures, and encourages children, to help them become great adults with social conscience.
El Arca: This non-profit association was born back in 1991 to support, protect and help the disfavored people from the Nazaret borough of Valencia, Spain, promoting their social and personal development and creating a fairer and more conscious borough.
Casa Caridad: A pioneer charity in caring for the homeless people and those who are at risk of social exclusion, giving them support, shelter, and offering longlasting solutions to integrate them into society. Here we are part of their program “Companies with Value”.
Polytechnic University in Valencia: We take part here as Trustees of the Social Council. We offer internships at our company to individuals who want to learn and start a career in the interior design world. It is very important for us to embrace innovative thinkers and promote young talents by helping them to express their creativity from the very beginning.
This is only part of what we do at Viccarbe to raise our initiatives of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion. We are continuously working on new and better learnings and actions to strengthen and boost our culture of inclusion, equality, and diversity in all the areas of Viccarbe.
